GOLDENS IN THE PARK SUPPORTS HOSPICE SLO COUNTY’S PET PEACE OF MIND PROGRAM

September 8, 2018

Each year the SLO County Golden Retrievers Club hosts their largest fundraiser, Goldens in the Park at Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo. The event brings together hundreds of Golden Retriever owners and is open to all dogs, any breed, large and small, purebred, mixed and mutts. The event includes games, contests, and even a dog parade all in the name of fun and to raise funds for the benefit of their nonprofit and also share the money raised with another like-minded nonprofit.

This year SLO County Golden Retrievers donated $1,500 to the Hospice SLO County’s Pet Peace of Mind Program. The mission of the Pet Peace of Mind Program is to enhance and preserve the human-animal bond by ensuring individuals with life-limiting illnesses are able to remain with their animal companions throughout their end-of-life journey.

SLO County Golden Retrievers Club’s two-legged and four-legged representatives presented the donation to Hospice SLO County staff on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obispo. You can learn more about our Pet Peace of Mind Program on our website: http://www.hospiceslo.org
