INTERNATIONAL SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE LOSS DAY 2019
Each year on the last Saturday before Thanksgiving, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention supports hundreds of large and small Survivor Day events around the world, in which suicide loss survivors come together to find connection, understanding and hope through their shared experience.
Please join us for our ninth annual Survivor Day event on Saturday, November 23rd, starting at 10:30 am. The day will start with a keynote address by Jennifer Steele, who will share the story of the life of her brother, Robbie. A brief film by AFSP and discussion will follow. After a light lunch, art therapist Anne Kellogg will lead us in an art activity to honor those we have lost to suicide. Stay for all of the day or part of it. Registration at the AFSP website https://afsp.org/survivor_day/san-luis-obispo-california-3/ helps us with our planning, but feel free to come without registering if you want to.
Please call Tony Huffaker at 805-544-2266 with any questions. We look forward to seeing you.
