Tips for Coping with Loss
- Surround yourself with as
much love and understanding as you can.
- Find caring people to talk
with, as it is helpful just to voice your thoughts and feelings.
- Allow yourself to express
your grief and talk about the person who has died.
- Let yourself cry.
- Be gentle with yourself
about any anger or pain you may be experiencing.
- Expect to tire easily.
Grieving is hard work.
- Give yourself private
time.
- Don’t be hesitant to ask for
help and support in the days and months ahead.
- Take care of yourself by
getting enough rest, eating well, and by doing things you like to
do.
